Weed and Mulch After Rain

The best time to weed is always after it rains. Rain softens the soil which makes it incredibly easy to get weeds out of the ground roots and all. For many shallow rooted weeds its as easy as grabbing the top and jiggling it out of the ground.

The last week has been extremely rainy for us so I thought it would be a great time to give Collin's garden a weed as it was in desperate.

After the weeding is done its time to mulch. After all the rain that we have had the soil is quite cool and has absorbed plenty of water. To help keep the soil temperature down and water content up its a great time to mulch. In Col's garden I have used pine bark.
