Corten steel. Built to weather.
Living steel that matures into a rich rust patina — no paint, no rot, no maintenance. Rings, edging, corners and stakes that only get better with age.
Why landscapers love it
-
Ages beautifully
The rust layer is the finish — a protective patina that deepens over the first few months outdoors and never needs painting or sealing.
-
Outlasts everything
Weathering steel shrugs off sun, soil and sprinklers for decades. No splitting like timber, no cracking like plastic edging.
-
Design flexibility
Rings for feature planting, straight edging and corners for crisp beds and paths, stakes to lock it all in place. Mix and match to suit the plan.

Good to know
How long until it rusts to that orange colour?
Left outdoors, the patina starts within weeks and settles into its rich final tone over a few months — faster with rain and morning dew. Every piece weathers a little differently, which is part of the charm.
Will it stain my pavers or concrete?
While the patina is developing, rain can carry rust tannins onto porous surfaces below. Position new pieces clear of pale paving for the first few months, or let them pre-weather on the lawn. Once the patina matures, run-off largely stops.
Is the rust a problem for the steel?
No — that's the point of weathering steel. The oxide layer seals the surface and protects the metal beneath, which is why corten is used on bridges and buildings designed to last generations.
How do I install it?
Edging sections join and bed straight into the soil, corners keep angles crisp, and stakes anchor longer runs. Bring your garden plan in store — we'll help you tally up the pieces, or call us on 02 9153 5176.
