Anthurium's glossy, heart-shaped leaves are matched by long-lasting waxy flowers in bold colour, held above the foliage on tall stems. Each bloom stays fresh for weeks, and a well-settled plant flowers on and off through the year.
It likes a bright spot out of direct sun and a chunky, free-draining aroid mix that holds a little moisture without staying wet. Keep it lightly moist rather than soggy, and a bit of extra humidity helps it put on strong new growth.
