Calathea 'Freddie' has narrow, upright leaves striped in two tones of green with a soft, feathery look compared to the broader-leafed calatheas. It forms a tidy clump that suits a bright corner or a grouping with other foliage plants.
Steady warmth and humidity bring out the best in the leaf pattern, so keep it away from cold draughts and heating vents. Water to keep the mix lightly moist, and use rainwater or filtered water if you can.
