Calathea 'Purple Rose' carries broad leaves brushed with rose-pink and purple tones over a deep green base, colour that's most vivid with steady warmth and humidity. Like other calatheas it can be a touch fussy about its conditions, but it rewards the effort with genuinely striking foliage.
Keep the mix lightly moist rather than letting it dry out, and avoid cold draughts or dry heater air. Rainwater or filtered water helps keep leaf tips from browning if your tap water is hard.
