A finely striped calathea, its narrow leaves marked with pale pinstripes over a dark green base and a deep purple underside. Like the rest of the calathea family it's grown as much for its foliage pattern as anything else, and it makes a striking addition to a shelf of indoor plants.
Steady warmth and humidity keep the stripes crisp; avoid cold draughts and dry air near heaters. Keep the mix lightly moist and use rainwater or filtered water if you can.
