Few plants brighten a winter windowsill like cyclamen, with butterfly blooms held above neat, silver-marbled leaves for months on end. It loves a cool, bright spot indoors — or a sheltered position on a Sydney balcony or porch through the cooler months.
Water when the surface of the mix feels dry, keeping water off the crown. Worth noting for pet households: cyclamen is toxic if eaten, so keep it out of reach of curious paws.

A cool, brightly lit spot indoors away from heaters suits it best; in Sydney it also does well outdoors through winter in sheltered part shade. Free-draining potting mix.
