This young Cymbidium orchid is a great way to start growing one of the easiest orchids to keep for years to come. Given a season or two to settle in, it will bulk up into a hardy clump of strappy leaves and eventually reward you with tall, arching spikes of long-lasting blooms.
Keep it in bright, filtered light, somewhere like a shaded verandah or under a tree canopy, rather than direct sun. Water regularly through the warmer months and ease off over winter, potting on into a coarse, free-draining orchid mix as the roots fill the pot.
