Cymbidium orchids are one of the easiest orchids to keep going year after year, and this is a well-grown, larger specimen with plenty of pseudobulbs already established. Expect long, strappy leaves and, with the right conditions, tall arching flower spikes carrying a dozen or more blooms that last for weeks on end.
Give it a bright spot with filtered light, such as a covered patio or under a pergola, rather than deep shade or full sun. Cooler autumn nights help set next season's flower spikes, and a free-draining orchid mix keeps the roots happy through Sydney's wetter spells.
