Known to most as the happy plant, this Dracaena massangeana carries broad, glossy leaves with a wide lime-yellow stripe down the centre of each one. It's an old favourite for good reason, tolerating low light, air conditioning and irregular watering better than most indoor plants.
Grow it in a bright room out of direct sun, in a free-draining potting mix, and let it dry out between waters. Over time it forms a sturdy cane with leaves clustered near the top.
